Privacy Policy

WORLD OS is a real-data information application. It retrieves information from public and third-party data services and displays the returned records with source attribution. The application does not require an account.

Information processed by WORLD OS

• Network requests to public data providers are made to retrieve the information requested by the user.
• Saved alert rules and selected settings are stored locally on the device using browser storage.
• If you explicitly use the device-location feature, the operating system may provide your approximate or precise location to the app for the requested lookup. WORLD OS does not upload that location to its own server.
• WORLD OS does not include an account system or password database. The app uses an external Adsterra SmartLink for sponsored offers; it is not an account system or a proprietary WORLD OS advertising SDK.

Third-party services

WORLD OS connects to third-party services such as NASA, USGS, NOAA, Open-Meteo, OpenStreetMap/Overpass, CelesTrak, World Bank, GBIF and other public or authenticated providers shown in the Source Health interface. Those providers may receive normal network information such as IP address and request metadata according to their own policies.

WORLD OS also contains an optional Adsterra SmartLink. When a user voluntarily opens a sponsored offer, the destination is handled by the advertising provider and its destination partners. Their collection and use of information are governed by their own privacy policies. Because the destination is controlled by a third party, WORLD OS cannot guarantee the content or data practices of the destination.

For location-based weather or air-quality lookups, coordinates selected or provided by the device are sent directly to the relevant data provider to return the requested result. WORLD OS does not maintain a central location database.

Data retention

WORLD OS stores alert rules and triggered-alert history locally on the device. Clearing app data removes this local information. WORLD OS does not operate a central account database.

Children

WORLD OS is a general information application and is not designed to collect personal information from children.

Security

Requests to supported providers use HTTPS where available. WORLD OS does not ask users for passwords, payment credentials, or authentication secrets inside the application.
